To enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors by making art available and accessible, we emphasize diversity and quality of the visual, literary and performing arts. The Center provides facilities for regional arts organizations to educate and develop arts audiences of all ages.
The Community Asian Theatre of the Sierra (CATS) is a nonprofit multicultural theater organization, nestled in the Sierra foothills of Nevada City and Grass Valley in western Nevada County.CATS is dedicated to promoting and celebrating cultural diversity by educating and enriching the community through quality multicultural theatrical productions, events, and workshops.
A non-profit cultural center, we currently provide a home for the Twin Cities Concert Association, the Nevada County Performing Arts Guild, Tommyknocker Cloggers, and Foothill Theatre Company.
