Code Compliance Division

Nevada County Fire Plan

The cornerstone of our program is that we want to work with people in a cooperative manner to assist them with compliance with the Code, Regulations and Laws that we are charged with enforcing.

You know the old saying, "Hi, we're from the government and we're here to help you"? Well it really is true.

The "Enforcement Process" of office hearings, citations, fines, misdemeanors, felonies, etc. is only necessary if we can't agree on the need and timing of compliance. We really do want to work with you, but if you choose not to work with us, it will be necessary to use the enforcement tools.

To learn anything you need to know about how to work with Code Compliance, please check the Complaint Process and FAQ pages.
