Land Use and Development Division

The Land Use Division provides services in planning and project review. We review and inspect individual and community sewage disposal design and construction. We provide consultation inspection relative to loans and home purchases, as well as plan review and plan check for building and planning department clearances. The Land Use Division inspects and reconnaissance for soils testing and evaluation of proposed individual sewage disposal and subdivisions and provides design review and inspection of repairs to sewage disposal systems; development and input into processes for new and amended ordinances and resolutions for sewage disposal, land use permits. We provide the permitting and annual inspections of septic tank pumpers, community sewage systems and construction of water wells. We provide emergency response to sewage related health hazards, complaint response to various sewage related calls; emergency response to reports of contaminated water; emergency response to reports of public water system hazards and violations.
