The Madelyn Helling Library is the main branch of the Nevada County Library system, located near the Eric Rood Government Center in Nevada City. Open six days a week, this bustling branch always has something interesting going on. Visit the children’s room and browse through the extensive folklore or picture book collections. Come and use one of eight public use computers or check out a laptop for up to two hours at a time. Or just sit in an easy chair in the ‘reading room’ portion of the library and enjoy a good book. The Madelyn Helling library is the also the home of the library’s Gene Albaugh Community Room, available for rental at $10 per hour.
