Nevada County Library
Book Lovers Wanted!
Do you like organization and physical activity?
Are you detailed oriented?
We are looking for you!
Library volunteers do a variety of jobs that help keep the library in tip top shape! From shelving to story time, processing DVDs to jacketing books, to helping in the Collaborative Technology Center, we offer a variety of jobs to interest every individual.
Please feel free to visit your local library and discuss the possibilities with the volunteer coordinator or simply fill out an application. There are also forms available at each of the branches.
Please note: All volunteers over the age of 18 are required to be fingerprinted by the Nevada County Sheriff's Department prior to volunteering at a library. The library will pay for fingerprinting and therefore we ask for at least a six month commitment.
The library branch volunteer coordinator will contact you to schedule an interview after they receive an application. Once the application is approved the applicant will be contacted to schedule fingerprinting.
If you are interested in volunteering for the Doris Foley Library for Historical Research, currently under the jurisdiction of the Nevada County Library System and managed on a day-to-day basis by the Friends of the Nevada County Libraries, please contact the branch directly at 530-265-4606.
The documents under related items are for use by approved volunteers as you start the orientation process to volunteer.
