The Nevada County Community Development Agency customer service counter is open to public by appointment only effective June 29, 2020. Appointments are available Monday through Thursday from 9am to 11am and 1pm to 3pm. You can schedule your appointment through our online calendar
or by contacting the Building Department directly.
For routine services such as general questions or online permitting, customers are encouraged to continue to use our virtual services; email, phone, and digital submission. Visit our Citizen Access Portal to apply for permits online, submit plans digitally, schedule inspections, and much more.
In addition to our online services, the department has a drop box in the lobby for picking up and dropping off of plan submissions or other related paperwork.
We will be continuing to conduct field inspections during this time and ask that all non-essential inspections not to be scheduled until a later date.
