Please contact us with questions Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Permits are accepted for processing and/or issuance, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am until 3:30 pm. Parcel numbers will be changing soon! Effective July 26th, 2018, Assessor Parcel Numbers (APN) will be changing to a new format. The existing format of 01-234-56-000 will change to a new format of001-234-056-000. This change will effect parcel research and permit applications. We recommend utilizing the property address when searching or applying for permits. You can pay online with a credit card or virtual check. Access to our fee schedules is also available. *PLEASE NOTE: Starting January 1, 2018 the Building Department will be required to collect a $4.00 fee on every building permit except for those within the limits of Nevada City in accordance with AB 1379.***
