Minimum quality standards in the marketplace are monitored for most petroleum products including: gasoline, diesel fuel, motor oil, brake fluid, automatic transmission fluid, antifreeze/coolants and compressed natural gas. Inspectors routinely and by complaint sample fuels and other petroleum products and submit samples to the State lab for testing and analysis. Action is taken locally or at the state level on all samples found to be out of compliance, depending on the circumstances.
