As a part of the land use entitlement and Planning Department permitting process, the Nevada County Community Development Agency hosts project specific Development Review Committee (DRC) meetings with project applicants. These meetings are held for most discretionary Planning projects on Wednesday mornings at or near the end of the first 30-days after you submit your project.
The DRC meeting is facilitated by your project planner and each department within the Community Development Agency has a senior level staff member in attendance to discuss application incomplete and design issues, as well as potential conditions of approval for your project. Staff is available to answer your questions and help guide you through the planning process, with the goal of assisting the applicant with ensuring your project meets minimum County standards so that the County is able to recommend the project for approval to the appropriate decision making body.

Office of the County Fire Marshal (represents all Fire Districts)
Higgins, Penn Valley and Nevada County Consolidated Fire Protection Districts
