This talk is part of a four-part speaker series. The Library and the Nevada City Rancheria Nisenan are proud to partner on the project, “The Voice of the Nisenan: We Are Still Here.” This grant, funded by the Library Services and Technology Act and administered by the California State Library, seeks to create opportunities for the public to learn about Nisenan culture, history, and language. Other components of this project include Nisenan-language picture books and an online collection of Nisenan language, films, interactive GIS map, and more.

Learn about the Nisenan Tribe of the Nevada City Rancheria from the history of the Gold Rush to present times through the project "The Voice of the Nisenan: We are still here," in partnership with the Nevada County Community Library.  This project is supported by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.
