To protect the community and slow the spread of COVID-19, the County of Nevada is temporarily closing County facilities to the public beginning Thursday, March 19th. The County will continue to provide service to accept new Commercial Cannabis land use applications (ADPs and CCPs), resubmittals, amendments, and supporting applications. All other permits including building permits, ag exemptions, etc. can be submitted through the Citizen access portal https://permits.mynevadacounty.com/CitizenAccess/Welcome.aspx.
Applications are to be submitted in PDF format and emailed to Jessica Rist, Permit Processing Assistant II Jessica.Rist@co.nevada.ca.us. After your project is accepted as complete, the applicant/agent will be notified and an Administrative Development Permit or Commercial Cannabis Permit, and Annual Cannabis Permit number will be assigned. At that time, the applicant/agent can pay the required application fee at https://payments.lexisnexis.com/ca/nevada/cda. The required eight (8) large format site plans are to then be deposited in the Dropbox located in the lobby of the Rood Center at 950 Maidu Ave. Nevada City.
*In order to facilitate the submittal of applications, the applications are to contain all required documents and are not to include additional information that is not required. Incomplete submittals will be returned to the applicant/agent. If you have any questions, please contact the appropriate Community Development Agency staff member below.
***Please note this is a temporary process to better assist cannabis applicants while closures are in place. Once the Rood Center is open to the public the application process will resume as normal with appointments required for all applicants and permit holders requesting changes.
***Please allow up to 48 hours for your application to be processed. These will be processed on a first come first served basis.
