Who is Getting Vaccinated Now

Every Californian age 16 and older is now eligible for COVID-19 vaccines

As of April 15, 2021, every Californian age 16 and older is eligible for COVID-19 vaccines. The vaccines are safe, highly effective, and free of charge. No documentation is required. All are welcome! Here's how to find an appointment:

Go to MyTurn.ca.gov

Go to MyTurn.ca.gov to sign up for the State's COVID-19 vaccine appointment system. Nevada County Public Health releases appointments every Friday at noon via MyTurn.ca.gov for vaccinations at the Whispering Pines clinic in Grass Valley. Sign up for MyTurn or call (833) 422-4255 to schedule an appointment. You don't need insurance for a COVID vaccine (it's free for everyone), but if you have insurance, have your policy info ready when you go to MyTurn.ca.gov.

In the near future, more vaccine partners will be using MyTurn to schedule vaccination appointments.

Check our Vaccine Provider List

Vaccine partners have different appointment systems. The Nevada County Public Health department maintains a list of local vaccine providers serving Nevada County residents. Go to MyNevadaCounty.com/GetVaccinated to learn more.

Get on the Public Health Department's Standby List

Public health has a stand-by list for same-day appointments at our Grass Valley clinics. This is a tool for us to ensure that no dose is wasted. We open and close the list as needed. More information here.
