Bear River Library presents Personal Poem Keepsake Box Grab Bag

Starting @ 10 AM.  This take-home craft includes an unfinished wooden box, paint with brush, sharpie, stick-on gems, gel pen, paper to write on and flyer with daily poem.  Available while supplies last.

Penn Valley Library presents Word Scramble Grab Bag

Starting @ 11 AM.  This take-home craft includes a frame mat, stickers, and words to cut out.  Make framed poetry art.  Available while supplies last

Nevada County Community Library Virtual Programming presents Just My Type Writing Class

4 - 5:00 PM.  This writing session will feature poetry prompts (via Zoom).  This weeks's prompt: Find 3 pages from your favorite book(s).  If possible, make a copy and bring to Monday's meeting.  Registration and further details available on the Events Calendar.

Starting at 10 AM. This take home craft includes origami paper, sheets of inspirational words and directions on creating an origami box.  Available while supplies last.

Starting at 11 AM. This take home craft includes a frame mat and stickers.  Create your own haiku on this beautiful framed mat.  Available while supplies last.

Nevada County Community Library Virtual Programming presents Virtual Poetry Crashers Game Show.

5:30 - 7:00 PM.  Join this (via Facebook Premier/YouTube) interactive program, and have fun with fellow viewers, while watching a lively poetry game show that is a mash up of Jeopardy meets Hollywood Squares style "What Does That Poem Even Mean?!"  Local poets from Sierra Poetry Festival will be hosting and participating in this fun virtual event.  You can start to sign-up for this event beginning on April 22nd at https://www.facebook.com/nevadacountylibrary..

April Pop-up Calendar


Madelyn Helling, Penn Valley and Truckee Libraries present Pioneersofourselves.

These are pop-up events where Pioneersofourselves will have surprise visits at the listed libraries and will be availalbe to type up original short poems for the public.

April All Month Calendar


Grass Valley and Madelyn Helling Libraries present a Poet Tree at the Library.

The locations will have a poet tree with poems hanging from it for the public to take as part of the poem in your pocket celebration and haiku cat bookmarks.  The library will also share Instagram posts in April to inspire the haiku poet in you.
