I am pleased to present the Information and General Services (IGS) Annual report for 2017. As I reviewed this report of all that we have accomplished this past year, it is clear that teamwork among all the IGS staff, but also across the entire County organization, as a whole required extensive collaboration and that was the theme for this year. This year was a challenging year with weather and fire events, cybersecurity threats, rapidly changing technology, and increasing demand for services including, Facility improvements, Library and Airport services.
As always, I am very impressed with the quantity and quality of accomplishments that IGS employees delivered this past year. IGS is fortunate to have such a well-rounded group of professionals who enjoy their jobs and serve our community with passion, dedication, and innovation.
Quality Services & Projects
The measure of our work goes beyond the 8000 service requests handled, the 137 projects delivered, or our service to almost 400,000 visitors to the Libraries. It can also be measured by the unyielding commitment to providing outstanding service to all County staff and constituents. IGS is fortunate to have such a well-rounded group of professionals who enjoy their jobs and serve our community with passion, dedication, and innovation. We completed a considerable number of very high value and impactful projects that benefited County staff, the public, and other local public agencies.
