Prescription Drug Take-Back

How do Safely Dispose of Prescription Drugs

Help keep drugs out of reach of kids and protect our water supply by properly disposing of your prescription medications. Nevada County Public Health collaborates with numerous community partners to ensure that you have ample locations to drop off unused, unwanted or expired prescription medications. In addition to permanent drop-off sites, keep an eye out for the twice yearly "Prescription Drug Take-Back Days," which is a free event hosted by local law enforcement and the DEA to give our community safe and convenient ways to drop of expired or unused prescription drugs.
