Vote-by-mail ballots will be mailed out in May 2016. All ballots must be received in the Elections Office or at any Nevada County polling place by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2016. However, a ballot is considered timely cast if it is received by our office via the United States Postal Service or a bona fide private mail delivery company no later than 3 days after election day, and either the ballot is postmarked on or before election day or is time stamped or date stamped by a bona fide private mail delivery company on or before election day.
