Nevada County Housing and Community Services recently received funding to assist low income home owners who sustained damages to their homes in Nevada County due to the Wind Complex fires of 2017. These funds can be used to assist with repairs and/or replacement of damaged or loss homes due to the devastating wildfires.
If you are a home owner whose home was damaged or destroyed during these fires, funding may be available to assist you. Assistance is available through a combination of low interest, deferred payment loans and grants to households with income not exceeding 80% of the area median income ($61,300/year for a family of four).
Those eligible to receive assistance must have owned the property at the time of the disaster and occupy the residence upon completion of the repairs/replacement of the home. Additionally the market value of the property after the completion of the repair/replacement may not exceed $389,950. Other program requirements may also apply.
