This event will provide an opportunity for Nevada County residents to dispose of used tires for free as a result of a partnership between the Bureau of Land Management, Waste Management and the County of Nevada, helping to clean up used tires from properties throughout the county.

Details dates and locations are listed below. All events will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • June 17th & 18th, McCourtney Road Transfer Station, 14741 Wolf Mountain Rd.
  • June 19th, Penn Valley Rodeo, Spenceville Road (Behind the fire station)
  • June 20th, North San Juan Transfer Station, 10125 Flume St.
  • June 21st, Town of Washington Transfer Station, 15886 Gaston Rd.

Per state law, residents may transport up to 9 used tires per trip to the Used Tire Amnesty Collection event.
