Prescription Drug Discount Program Sponsored by Nevada County

Nevada County has partnered with Coast2Coast Prescription Drug Program to allow all residents, regardless of income, age, or health status, to save on the cost of medications. Coast2Coast provides a Rx card program that is free of charge, requires no paperwork, and is available at most participating pharmacies and many governmental offices. The program is designed to assist uninsured and the underinsured and those whose prescriptions may not be covered under their existing insurance policy. The program can also assist those with high deductibles or Healthcare Savings Accounts. Medi-Care Part D participants without supplemental coverage when they reach their "donut hole" can also save money using the card. Cardholders can save up to 75% on over 60,000 medications and can use the card at participating locations, including most pharmacy chains and independent pharmacies in Nevada County. To print a Rx card, view participating locations, and check prescription prices, visit www.coast2coastrx.com. You can also call 1-800-931-8872 for more information. The cards are available at the following county locations:

  • The Eric Rood Administration Center lobby, located at 950 Maidu Avenue in Nevada City
  • The Social Services lobby at the Rood Center, located at 950 Maidu Avenue in Nevada City
  • The Crown Point Facility, located at 500 Crown Point Circle in Grass Valley
  • The Brighton Greens Resource Center, located at 988 McCourtney Road in Grass Valley
  • The Joseph Government Center, located at 10075 Leon Avenue in Truckee

Benefits of the program include:

  • It is free! No fee is ever charged for the card.
  • It is available to anyone with high insurance deductibles or without prescription medication insurance coverage
  • No qualifying or personal information required
  • No membership or paperwork required
  • No screening for eligibility needed
  • No health condition restrictions
  • No limit to the usage
  • Use just one card for the whole family
  • Can also be used for dental, vision, veterinary, hearing, lab, and imaging services

Both insured and uninsured can participate in the program. Insured individuals can use the card with a plan with a high co-pay, or for medications not covered by a health plan. The card itself is not considered to be and should not replace insurance. Pick up a card today or print a card online and start saving on prescriptions!
