Nevada County’s Public Meeting Protocol in Response to Coronavirus COVID-19

California Governor Gavin Newsom issued Executive Order N-25-20 on March 12, 2020, relating to the convening of public meetings in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The County of Nevada hereby provides notice that it will continue to convene its regularly scheduled public meetings of the Board of Supervisors until further notice. Pursuant to the Executive Order, the Nevada County Board Supervisors will attend meetings remotely and will participate in the meeting to the same extent as if they were present. In Person Participation: 

Pursuant to the Governor Newsom’s Order N 29-20, comment during Board meetings is hereby suspended until further notice. To follow social distancing guidelines as outlined by the Nevada County Public Health Department, the Board Chambers will remain closed to the public.

Remote Viewing: 

Members of the public who wish to watch the meeting but not attend in person are encouraged to view it live online or on television. All of the Board of Supervisors meetings are broadcast live on Nevada County Television (NCTV) Channel 17 in Western County, on Truckee-Tahoe Community TV (TTCTV) Channel 18 in Eastern County, and online at https://nevco.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx.

Written Comment: 

Members of the public may submit written comments on any matter within the Board’s subject matter jurisdiction, regardless of whether the matter is on the agenda for Board consideration or action. Comments will be entered into the administrative record of the meeting. You may provide comment on any agenda item through our eComment system at https://nevco.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx.
