[ARCHIVED] Community Forums to Hear Input on the Needs of the Impoverished in Nevada County

Rood Center Sept 001

The Nevada County Adult & Family Services Commission will convene two Community Forums to accept input on the needs of the impoverished in Nevada County. Interested Nevada County residents, including representatives of community organizations and service providers, are invited to participate and share their views regarding the needs of very low-income populations of all ages. The information gathered at the Forums will contribute to the needs assessment process required as a part of the 2022/23 Community Action Plan (CAP). The CAP is part of the application process for ongoing Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) funding for supportive service programs.

The County would like to hear ideas about services or programs that assist low-income populations in achieving self-sufficiency. Supporting data is encouraged.

Because these forums will be conducted via Zoom, please use the Chat feature to share your thoughts on the needs of low-income households or participate in the verbal share of information. The links to the Zoom calls:

November 17th-

 November 23rd-

If you are unable to attend this meeting and would like to share your input in written form, please contact Suzi Kochems at 530-228-7811 or via email at and she will provide you a paper version of the needs assessment, otherwise, the links are below.
