Nevada County Intern Spotlight: Heidi Carrasco

Intern Spotlight: Heidi Carrasco

The Human Resources Office administers a vibrant, made-to-order internship program designed to provide learning and experience opportunities for individuals in the community, high school and college students, and members of the military community. We solicit departmental needs and create unique internship opportunities covering a wide range of fields and interests. We encourage citizens to reach out to us to inform us of their areas of interest, and we attempt to match them to an internship opportunity. We strive to reach and teach! We attempt to ignite interest in public sector careers by providing meaningful internship experiences.

Heidi recently completed her Human Resources Management Essentials certification from the Society of Human Resources Management. She came to us through Connecting Point and was a former corporate consultant with a Fortune 500 company. She participated in numerous development aspects of the Internship program for our County and grew into a valued team member.

After working as an Intern Coordinator helping and guiding Interns within the County, she was recently selected to fill a position with a private medical practice as their office manager. We will miss her talents in the County and we thank her for all her hard work. Heidi has developed her skills and is ready for her new position. We hope to see her in the future!
