On May 22nd, the Nevada County Board of Supervisors approved Urgency Ordinance 2450 allowing the issuance of Temporary Medical Commercial Cannabis Permits. The requirements for temporary cannabis permits and the permit application materials are now available online. Permits will be allowed for AG, AE, and FR zoned parcels.
Permit Application Process
Permit applications can be submitted by appointment only. Appointments may start to be scheduled starting at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6th, by calling (530) 265-1222, or in person at the Community Development Agency (CDA) office. Application appointments will be scheduled to start two weeks later, on Wednesday, June 20th. All temporary permits applications will go through a review and issuance process, as well as a compliance inspection within 30 days of permit issuance. All temporary permits issued will expire next year on June 30, 2019.
