November 6th Election: 4-Day Vote Centers Open Tomorrow, November 3rd

The November 6th General Election is only 4 days away! Starting Saturday, November 3rd, the 4-Day Vote Centers open through Election Day.

Nevada County is under a new model this election season called the Voter’s Choice Act, providing greater flexibility and convenience for voters. Nevada County voters can vote by mail or drop their ballot in a Nevada County Drop Box any time before Election Day, or stop by one of Nevada County’s Vote Centers starting on Saturday.


Don’t forget to vote this election season. Here are the ways you can vote in Nevada County:

Mail:

Vote by Mail and Voter Information Guides were mailed out to all registered Nevada County voters on Tuesday, October 9th. If you choose to vote by mail, don’t forget to sign the envelope with your signature! If you did not receive your ballot, or have any questions, please contact the Nevada County Elections office at (530) 265-1298.

Drop Box:

Voter’s can also choose to drop off their Vote by Mail ballots at any Nevada County Drop Box location. If you choose to drop your ballot off at a Drop Box location, still don’t forget to sign your envelope with your signature! Find all Drop Box locations on our website.

Vote Centers:

The Nevada County Elections Office is already open for early voting at the Eric Rood Administrative Center in Nevada City, but starting October 27th Nevada County’s 11-day Vote Centers will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily, including weekends. On November 3rd, Nevada County’s 4-day Vote Centers open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and on Election Day, November 6th, all Vote Centers will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Find out the Vote Center closest to you on our website.


Register to Vote!

Not registered to vote yet? There is still time! Nevada County residents can register and vote the same day at any Vote Center location.


Ride to a Vote Center for free!

Need a ride to a Vote Center? Gold Country Stage is partnering with Nevada County Elections to provide free fares for all Gold Country Stage routes this Saturday, November 3rd. Ride fare free and get out and vote!
