On December 5, 2018, Nevada County hosted a Wildfire Prevention and Preparedness Town Hall moderated by YubaNet and aired live on NCTV - Nevada County Television and KVMR 89.5FM & 105.1FM. Representatives from CAL FIRE, Nevada County Sheriff's Office, Nevada County Office of Emergency Services, Grass Valley Police Department, Grass Valley Fire Department, California Highway Patrol, Nevada County Consolidated Fire District, and Nevada County Public Works talked about fire prevention, preparedness, and safety within our local Nevada County community.
On the heels of the containment of the most destructive fire in California, the meeting was extremely well attended with almost 500 residents coming to the Eric Rood Administrative Center to watch the meeting, and many more tuning in live on KVMR, NCTV's website or on cable channel 17, and live Facebook video feeds.
