  1. Community Forum on the Needs of the Impoverished in Nevada County

    November 23, 2020, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ The Meeting will be held via ZOOM. See the agenda flyer for the ZOOM link.

    The County would like to hear ideas about services or programs that assist low-income populations in achieving self-sufficiency. Supporting data is encouraged. Because these forums will be conducted via Zoom, please use the Chat feature to share your thoughts on the needs of low-income households or participate in the verbal share of information. If you are unable to attend this meeting and would like to share your input in written form, please contact Suzi Kochems at 530-228-7811 or via email at suzi@silkconsultinggroup.com and she will provide you a paper version of the needs assessment, otherwise, the survey links are on the agenda flyer.

Many have also been working towards restoring relationships around shared hopes and dreams, seeking to get our country re-focused on the work of governing and finding common ground. Now, after another socially polarized election, this conversation allows us to start exploring ‘what’s next.’ Whatever our differences, let’s look for deeper unities we can rest upon and promote, such as Generosity, Kindness, Dignity, Respect, and Freedom. And let’s explore how common values and a shared desire to solve common problems might help us move forward together.
