  3. Genealogy Basics, Part III: Other Records

    This is the third in a five-part series on basic genealogy research techniques, “Genealogy Basics: Other Records.” The series, offered on Zoom and Facebook Live, is aimed at beginners and covers topics such as different kinds of records, common and uncommon sources of information on your ancestors, and how to use DNA testing in your research. In the second session, records that are not vital records will be covered. It is not necessary to have attended the first session in order to follow and benefit from this session.

    With a traveling art kit and this program, you are ready to make art anytime and anywhere that inspiration strikes. Join us in person at the Madelyn Helling Library location or on Zoom. Drop-in at any part of the hour to share what you've made, where you were and what inspired you. Coffee break, lunch break, waiting; in line, Dr. apt, kids pick-up, all are the perfect times to de-stress with a quick a drawing or painting. It doesn't take much to relax and create. Techniques and tips on using art supplies and a simple challenge with prompts will be given at each meeting. ALL SKILL LEVELS WELCOME! Registration is required to receive zoom information and traveling art starter kit.
